Abercorn Vets traces its roots back to the 1960s, providing trusted, empathetic first-opinion and referral services to pets in Edinburgh, Gilmerton, Portobello High Street and Raeburn Place.
Our team is one big practice family, doing our utmost to give our patients the best care, all mucking in to help each other out. And we aim to make our clients and patients feel part of our family, too.

We are constantly learning from each other, discussing cases and working together to keep our patients happy and healthy.
All three of our branches are thriving community practices, with consults and some treatments and procedures carried out at Raeburn Place and Gilmerton.
Our main practice on Portobello High Street is the hub from which we care for inpatients and perform any surgeries, when required.
We also run a referral service and regularly assist referring vets and local pet owners with those trickier cases.

This makes us well equipped to provide high quality routine services for small and exotic pets, alongside more complex support such as cardiology and referrals.
Our lovely nursing team also offers a variety of clinics for quick and informal help with weight management, dental care and more.
